What We Built
From the archive. This issue went out June 21, 2026 and is kept as it was sent. Anything it says about prices or dates was true then — for what things cost today, see the pass or the store.
Week two: what we actually made
Six dispatches. Fourteen posts hit the Feed. One new membership tier dropped. A billing portal went live. And GZS got an AI DJ for After Dark. Here’s the full picture, section by section.
- Monday’s ORDERS: the list math nobody tells you
- Tuesday’s DOSSIER: the idea you’ve had for six months
- Wednesday’s DEAD DROP: six from the Feed
- Thursday’s BUILD: Resident shelf + billing portal
- Friday’s SIGNAL: GZS After Dark goes on the air
Two weeks. The lights are still on, ya’ll.
Week one was ceremony. The 001 filing, the charter going live, the building opening its doors for the first time. Week two was just work. Orders in the morning, voice piece Tuesday, links Wednesday, the build Thursday, signal Friday. The machine running the way it’s supposed to run.
Honestly, we shipped more this week than I expected. And I digress… here’s all of it.

MON // Monday’s ORDERS – Issue 002
“Your list doesn’t need to be bigger”
Monday’s filing was the math piece. The one the newsletter growth complex skips because it’s inconvenient for people whose business model requires you to believe bigger lists equal bigger money.
At 686 subscribers, one All-Access launch at a 3% conversion rate is $1,938 before lunch. The pure CPM ad model at 686? Maybe $9-24 per send. Nine bucks. Shit. The actual unlock is a better offer to the list you already have. That’s the whole lesson.
The Ops Briefing 002 ran Monday morning at 6am Central. The archive is building.
TUE // Tuesday’s DOSSIER – Issue 003
“The thing you keep not building”
Tuesday was the voice piece. The one about the idea that’s been living in your head for six months, getting more refined, more perfect, more untested.
The version in your head is perfect because you never have to test it against an actual human being. You can call it incubation. You can also call it stalling with good lighting.
The dossier named the pattern and gave the exit. It ran long, the way Tuesdays are supposed to. That’s the day we go deep.
WED // Wednesday’s DEAD DROP – The Feed
Six picks from fourteen published this week
Fourteen posts hit the Feed this week on the 2x/day schedule. Six that deserve the direct link, with notes on why each one’s worth the click.
FROM THE FEED – WEEK 2
- Short-Form Writing: How to Cut Until It Bleeds — Editing is the discipline. Find the one idea, open hard, cut everything that isn’t load-bearing. The craft guide.
- Give the Work Away First — Why free is a strategy, not a funnel trick. The trust mechanism that makes people buy what comes after.
- The First Hour — One protected block before the world reaches you. Morning routine for creative work that actually survives 2026.
- Lazy Book Marketing That Works — Small repeatable moves for authors who hate marketing. Build the list first, then chase reach.
- Best Writing Niches in 2026 — The old 100-niches list is dead. A niche that earns isn’t a topic – it’s a buyer with a wallet plus an angle AI can’t fake.
- The Gumroad Affiliate Program — Let other people sell your stuff. How to set commission, recruit people who actually move product. The lever most creators ignore.
All six are free. No gate, no sign-in. The Feed is the public record. If you want more of it, the membership is what keeps it growing.
THU // Thursday’s BUILD – The Resident Shelf
New tier, billing portal, and 25 dead affiliate links pruned
The Resident tier dropped this week. $8/month or $67/year. Lower shelf access for people who want to be in the building without needing the full All-Access dossier. If you know someone sitting on the fence about the operation, that’s the door to point them toward.
The Stripe billing portal went live at the same time. You can now manage your membership, update payment info, or cancel without having to email anyone. The standing rule here has always been that leaving should be easy. Now it actually is.
We also pruned the affiliate catalog this week. Dropped 25 dead or inactive listings, down from 387 to 362. The Mall is leaner now. Links that are still there work.
FRI // Friday’s SIGNAL – GZS After Dark
The AI DJ is on the air
GZS After Dark went live this week. AI-rendered DJ sets, custodian scripts, late-night block in rotation. The station now has a voice for the hours after midnight. It’s weird. It’s supposed to be weird. Let’s fuckin’ go!!!
Also from the GZS vault this week: Flesh//error completed production packages. The German industrial project is documented and archived. Two bands, two very different aesthetic prisons, both on the air.
GZS Radio runs 24/7. The After Dark block is distinct from the daytime rotation. You’ll know it when you hear it.
// // The Morgue – Last Week’s Dispatch
Issue 024 is in the archive. “Still on the air” – the first dispatch from the Deep End. If you missed it or want to send it to someone new, that’s the link.
// // The Founding Window
The All-Access founding rate is $47. It moves to $97 after July 5. The window was announced in Issue 001 and it’s still open. For anyone outside the building you want to bring in, that’s the rate to share. All-Access covers the full archive, the Underground, every product in the vault.
The Resident tier ($8/mo) is the lower shelf. Both options are at the link. The founding window applies to All-Access only.
[ ALL-ACCESS – $47 THROUGH JULY 5 ]
Next Sunday’s dispatch rounds up week three. The operation keeps running. Stay in the branch, ya’ll.
