Moved the Radio to the Masthead

TL;DR: Pulled the GZS 197.7 player out of the bottom bar and framed it into the header, where it rides every page now.

• LIVE is a real button.
• Volume remembers where you left it.
• You can request a song without leaving the page you’re on.
• The full-screen visualizer stopped being one ring and became a field.
• New tab icon for the radio pages.
• The station’s front door opens on the player now, not a login screen.
• Weather’s off the masthead. Clock stayed.

The player used to live in a bar at the bottom of the page. You’d scroll past everything to find it, and it didn’t come with you when you moved on. Bad piece of framing.

A station’s player is load-bearing; it belongs somewhere you can reach from any room in the house. Moved it up into the masthead. Rides with you page to page now, same as the clock.

The LIVE label used to just sit there lit, whether or not anybody was actually tuned in. A switch nailed to the wall with no wire behind it.

Now it does a control’s job. Cold, it reads LISTEN, with a play icon on it.

Hit it, it tunes in and flips to a lit ● LIVE. Stop it, it flips back. You can read the state of the thing without asking.

Put volume right next to it. A mute toggle and a slider. It remembers where you left the level, so you’re not resetting it every time you come back through.

Wanted requests within reach too. There’s a panel under “Request a song” that drops straight down out of the header.

Search the catalog, ask for a track, keep reading whatever you had open. No trip to another page and back.

The full-screen visualizer got torn out and rebuilt. It used to be one ring, pulsing, alone in the dark. Read more like a heart monitor than a radio signal.

Now it’s six-fold, kaleidoscopic, rings of signal traveling out from a hot core with sparks scattered through the field. Something that looks like a transmission going out, not a vitals check.

Cut a new tab icon for the radio pages while I was in there. The full ringed station logo turns to mush at 16 pixels, too much line for that little a space, so I cut a plainer tower-and-signal mark that still reads clean that small.

Rest of the network keeps the ensō. Different room, different sign on the door.

Fixed the front door next. gzs.nicheof.one used to drop you at a login screen before you’d heard a note.

Now it opens straight onto the public player. Hit play, request a song, no gate in front of it.

Squared the request panel up to the house look while I had the tools out. Black, white, one red. Pulled a couple stray colors that had no business being in that room.

Last thing: took the temperature and the weather forecast off the masthead. They weren’t doing any work up there.

Kept the clock. That one earns its spot.
